Position Summary

Under the direction of the Front Office Manager the candidate will be to assisting in achieving goals and targets set, whilst maintaining and building on the reputation of the Hotel. Ensuring that guest’s and departmental expectations are met in a manner exceeding the high standards required by the company.

Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Providing various information and assistance to guests;
  • Building an extensive knowledge base of local area restaurants, shops, attractions, transportation options, and airports;
  • Responding to complaints and finding appropriate solutions;
  • Organizing and delivering guests’ information, brochures, and materials;
  • Introducing and selling excursions;
  • Handling telephone calls and emails;
  • Supporting other departments such as front office and guest relations;
  • Handling guest luggage.

Confidentiality

Whilst working for the company there will be access to a wide variety of confidential information concerning the company, guests and employees.

It is vital that all such information remains confidential and must not be disclosed to anyone outside the company, guests and employees unless otherwise stated.

Other Information

Training sessions carried out by the Front Office Operational coach would also include:

  • Orientation
  • Cashiering
  • How to meet Guests Expectations
  • How to handle Complaints
  • Grooming sessions
  • Any ongoing training offered by the Hotel Training Manager

The trainee will be given all the assistance needed to learn as much as possible from this placement.
