A great opportunity has arisen ahead for those who would like to advance their career within the hospitality industry. Reporting directly to the Area Director of Finance, this position requires an individual with a proven track record in Finance.
The candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing the Director of Finance, Executive Chef, and Food & Beverage Manager with cost of sales information needed to control costs;
- Overseeing and managing the store operations and functions;
- Establishing and administering food and beverage cost control systems and procedures to ensure that food and beverage profits are maximized and are consistent with high standards of quality and service;
- Taking the initiative to see that the food and beverage control procedures are adhered to and, where necessary, enlist the assistance of the Director of Finance and Area General Manager to ensure compliance;
- Working with the Executive Chef to coordinate tracking of high-cost items in the food area;
- Preparing daily the Comparison Report on Food & Beverage actual vs. Potential costs/sales;
- Working closely with Food & Beverage Manager to develop menu pricing of Food & Beverage products;
- Liaising with purchasing team as well as chefs to ensure accurate costing of Food & Beverage;
- Overseeing the Receiving of Goods into the hotel in conjunction with a receiving/ store clerk.
The ideal candidate will:
- Possess strong computer skills and proficiency with accounting software.
- Have experience with Adaco and Symphony; familiarity with Sun System is an advantage.
- Demonstrate advanced Excel proficiency.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Be self-driven, capable of working under pressure, and meeting deadlines.
- Exhibit exceptional attention to detail.
- Maintain discretion and uphold confidentiality at all times.
