The Corinthia Peninsula at St George’s Bay is seeking to recruit an ambitious, determined, and highly motivated individual who is willing to embark on a career in hospitality. The selected candidate would be able to perform duties at the Corinthia St. George’s Bay.
The candidate will be responsible for:
- Maintaining the highest quality standards at all times
- Help to maintain a climate of smooth and friendly cooperation
- Assisting the kitchen team in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes
- Preparing relevant mis-en-place, and produce à la carte dishes to specific recipes and methods
- Maintaining the hygiene practices to comply with HACCP requirements
- Working independently, on own initiative, and interacting with confidence and ease at all levels
- Maintaining and ensuring the highest quality standards at all times
- Portraying a professional disposition.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience in a similar role
- Have a flair for the art of culinary production
- Excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes
- Have a valid Food Handlers Licence & HACCP Certification
- Have an eye for detail
- Ideally have experience in a five-star hotel
- Ideally, hold an ITS Food Preparation & Production Diploma or equivalent
- Be able to work in a dynamic environment, self-motivated, and able to handle pressure
- Ability to work without close supervision
